We threw our first Octoberfest festival here at the brewery in 1990 – it was actually inside the brewery, amidst the tanks. We can’t do that so much anymore (there were about 18,000 people at our last Octoberfest), but we still love having everyone here for our Octoberfest each fall. Come join us this year!

Harpoon Octoberfest is a malty tribute to fall, balanced by a gentle hop bitterness. In keeping with tradition, it is a Marzen-style beer, brewed with abundant quantities of Munich, Chocolate, and Pale malts. Those malts provide a solid, full body and create the beer’s deep color. It is a rich, flavorful beer.

Bottled. Dark w/ medium head. Way too hoppy for a marzen/oktoberfest IMO and tastes more like an ale.

Bottle. I have to say Marzen type beers are my second favorite beer. This one is middle of the road when it comes to this style. It is a very good beer for Harpoon but not a very good example of an Octoberfest. Nice amber color. Not a bad head. Decent taste and aroma. Flavor is balanced and thirst quencing.

Can from Beer Republic. Aroma is malty with caramel, some toffee and fruity hints on the periphery. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Chewy malts, this is fine.

Another one that I'm not 100% sure on. Not good flavor, it just falls flat. Not enough pumpkin, or spices. It's nothing.

In der Nase Karamell, im Trunk recht malzig, süß, würzig, Karamell, erdig, passt.

Pours deep amber with a large off-white head.Nose shows nutty and bready malt along with some caramel.Flavours include more bready malt, sweet melanoidin malt, and soft nutty notes.

Pours dark amber with a thick white head. Aroma of sweetened malt. Hoppy and slightly resinous malt body. Palate has malty and hoppy elements, typical of the style. Good.

Klar lys brun med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter honningmelon, mango og lett tigerbalsam. Middels fylde. Smaker også melon, søtlig og noe pepperig ingefær.
