Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness. When Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria wanted to celebrate his wedding engagement in 1810, he did what any good Bavarian prince would--he threw a beer festival. Bothe the festival and the special beer served there became known as Oktoberfest. Brewed from the finest German malt and hops, Brooklyn Oktoberfest is true to the original style, fullbodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Bottle from Harvest Market. Deep copper color with a huge bubbly off white head. Aromas of bready malt with floral hops. Rich bready maltiness, bubbly mouthfeel. Respectable stateside Oktoberfest beer.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Lightly hazy copper colour. Thin, tight, dirty white head. Sugary fruits. Some ripe banana. Light caramel. Taste is sweet, with a dried fruit tang. Fairly rich, smooth palate. Finishes with more of the dried fruit sweetness. Not my favourite style, but I did enjoy this.

Growler from Whole Foods. Caramel colored, a bit creamy, little carbonation and a dry caramel flavor capped off by a medium long bitter finish. Decent but not outstanding for this style.

Very nice for style. Great grain profile and some nice and prominent German hops. Pours cloudy light brown with good head and lacing. The best one of these I’ve had this season. Tap at whole foods.

12oz bottle from Orchard Fresh, Orchard Park, NY. Reddish amber with a ring of cream head; bready malt aroma; sweet caramel malt taste; with a lightly spiced bitterness to finish. A pleasant October beer.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a hazy brown body that yields a small half finger white head slowly dissipates into the body after a half minute. Some spider web lacing is left.
The smell had some earthy breadiness and nuts up front with some nutmeg and caramel slightly in the background.
The taste had an earthy breadiness that came back a bit more up front than the other flavorings.
The palate was about a light to medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. I would say this is a pretty drinkable beer.
Overall, this is a pretty good beer that I would have again.

Clear Reddish Amber, Huge Head That Does Not Last But Leaves Nice Thin Strings Of Lacing. Lightly Toasted, Cooked Vegetable Aroma that Reminds Me of Pumpkin Beers. Taste about The Same: Lightly Toasted, Malt, Cooked Vegetables. Lightly Sour, Lightly Bitter. Medium Body. Easy To Drink. Enjoyed It. Good. Worth A Try.
