330ml bottle into glass. Subtle hop nose. Dark amber beer with scummy head. Zingy taste with abrupt slight malt/ floral hop finish. Sessionable but instantly forgotten.

From a 330ml bottle on 23/2/2014. Pours a clear dark golden with biggish white head. Has a modest aroma of fruit, grass and a touch of malt. Flavour wise, there’s a bit of sweet caramel malt and a hint of fruit, with a touch of stale grain you get with many macro lagers. It finishes with a very light bitterness, with the reference in the blurb to dry hopping not ringing true. Has a light body with average to lively carbonation. If you had it blind, you wouldn’t pick it as an IPA - it’s more a malt driven APA, and a fairly pedestrian one at that. By IPA standards, this is a hop po ha.
