Our version of the IPA beer style possesses a deep golden hue, rich malty flavor, a bold, complex, and enduring hop finish and is extremely full bodied. We dry hop this brew and use a combination of Fuggles and Chinook hop varieties resulting in an extremely enticing floral and spicy aroma as well as hop character. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are combined to achieve an initial specific gravity approaching 1.065.

Keg at the brewpub, 01/02/16. Golden orange with a decent off White covering. Nose is caramel malt, grapefruit waftings, toasted malt, orange peel, light bread dough. Taste comprises orange pith, citric tinged straw, melon, grapefruit flesh, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close.Solid enough old school IPA.

Hops. Lots of hops. Big hops. Little hops. Fresh hops. Overwhelming hops. Nothing but hops. I wonder how hoppy their double IPA is, since all their hops seem to be right here.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a half inch off-white head. The aroma includes citrus, resin, and flowery hops. It has moderate to high bitterness in the flavor with some citrus and resin notes leading into a long bitter finish. This medium bodied IPA is a solid brew.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Softish dry palate. Immediate bitter grapefruit hops, a trace of orange, The bitterness keeps going to the semi dry finish. Lingering bitter aftertaste. A hard edged IPA.

Pours hazy gold into a Sam glass. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to skim surface. Caramel, resin and grapefruit aromas. Medium bodied with upfront resin turning to caramel in the middle before a lasting grapefruit finish.

Clear golden body with a fizzy, off-white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is mostly hops with notes of resin and grapefruit. A slight hint of toasted grain. The flavor is lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately sweet. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately to heavily bitter with the bitterness lingering well into the aftertaste. Medium body, water texture turning sticky in the finish, lively carbonation. This is pretty much the definition of a West Coast IPA — heavily hopped, so much so that it overpowers the malts.
