Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a hazy amber color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a quick pace. Sly foamy lace.
The aroma had some soapy sweet malts, slight grassy hop tones, and a little bit of caramel/toffee malts.
The flavor was somewhat sweet and malty. Aftertaste was all about the malts. Finish was malty too.
The palate was almost medium bodied and was somewhat sessionable. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, seemed like an English pale ale to me, it was okay, maybe again.

9th September 2011
Hazy amber beer, little white head. Semi crisp dry palate. Dry pale malt. Trace of banana. Redisual hop. Insipid orange with a tiny bit of bitterness. Very dry finish. Pretty grim in most departments. WTF happened here Deschutes?

On tap at Deschutes Brewpub, split with Matts_Property, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of light hops, pils malt, some honey sweetness. Flavour of dry pale malts, lightly bitter hops and dry bread. Decent for the style.

Bottle @ GBBF, 2011. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy head and lacings. Dry and hoppy. Grass, grain and citrus. Very malty. Hops could shine more through.

On tap. Pours with a lightly hazed golden to orange hued body with a fluffy and lasting off-white head. Aromas are fruity, hoppy, citrusy, pine. Floral and lightly bready. Flavors are light, malty, tea like, citrus. A bit sweet overall and slightly bland. Medium bubbles with a light to medium body.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy dark yellow color with a thin white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Mild citrus, malt and hops in the nose. Light body with flavors of citrusy hops, malt and honey. The finish is caramel malt with an apricot and citrus aftertaste. Decent all around.
