Tons of earthy sweet malt in nose and taste. Poured cloudy amber with off-white head. Slight presence of hops, but the caramel, brown sugar malt taste dominates. Smooth on the palate. Nice brew.

Thanks to harlequinn for bringing this to the Georgia 14% gathering! Clear, light amber colored beer pours into the glass and creates a small off white head. Malty caramel and a hint of hops form the aroma coming from this one. Smooth creamy palate, well balanced. Could use a little more bitterness in the finish but it’s a very drinkable ESB.

Bottle Pours with a very nice creamy head and a carmel/copper color. Dont detect much more than hopps and malt in the aroma. Nice semi dark roasted, malty flavor. Bitter hopps is definately ther but seems quite mellow and smooth. Finish is sharp and a shight biter/pucker stays with you for a min. 3 letter styles are usually not my favorite, but this is good. Original review text: Bottle Pours a hazy deep amber with a small but persistant head. Aroma is clean and sharp fruity light grain and not much hops. Flavors are woody, slightly dark and the hops are just there but not very strong. Feel is nice and medium bodied and the aftertaste is pleasant and not very "bitter" More drinkable than I expected. Deschutes is just a good outfit.
