This dark beer has a rich blend of malts, including smoked malts. Some malts used in our Porter have been smoked into perfection resulting in a wonderful hint of bacon. The roasted malts create the deep dark colour and a sweetish body.

Tap@ Troost De Pijp. Almost black. Malt and a hint of smoke in the aroma. Malty sweet, soft roasty flavor with caramel. Pleasant.

Draft at the source. Dark ruby maroon color beige head. Campfire aroma. Taste is burnt logs of chocolate and coffee. Works for me

Keg at the brewpub. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is smoked cheese, floral, toffee, taste is sweet, chewy toffee, burnt, smoky.

Keg at toorst... Amsterdam September 2017... Deep red brown.. Big meaty smoke malt nose.. Massive sweet woody meaty smoke

Tap. Hazy brown-amber color with beige head. Aroma is smoked ham, but not too intensely, chocolate, earthy, nicely balanced. Taste is ham, some berries, toffee, malty. Medium carbonation, silky mouthfeel, pleasant smoky aftertaste. Pleasant and well-balanced!

Tap @a stall near the brewery. Cloudy deep brown colour, frothy beige head, fairly lasting, good lacing. Aroma roasted malts, light coffee, light smoky. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, light caramel, chocomel. Retronasal smoke, mild sweetbitter aftertaste. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Though a bit thin body a pleasant porter.

From tap at the "Staatsspelen", where the band JOE performed. Good dark brown color, nice aroma and a sweet taste.

7 3 7 3 16 Draft @ Wild West Brewfest ’17. Dark brown color, mostly clear. Beige head with good retention. Aroma’s; smoke, leather, with light sweetness retronasal. Flavor is light sweet, smoky. Light bodied. Finishes with smoke, moderate bitter. Pretty nice.

Van tap bij de brouwerij Westergas in Amsterdam. Roasted malts, hint van bacon, nette rooksmaak, vol van smaak, goede balans. (6-2017).
