Bottle from Village Vintners, Pyrford. Malty aroma with grass and some floral hints. Honey amber. Fizzy white head seems to disappear in a few seconds. Really lacking flava: some bitterness around the edges but mainly a very low key maltiness. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation with some beneficial softness to it. Long chemical finish. Not great. At least lacks taste rather than tasting disgusting.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread, light toast/biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit too fruity on aromas. Poor aromas with pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread, light toast/biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread, light toast/biscuit, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal yeast notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. A bit thin, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a decent pale adjunct lager. Other than the poor aromas, it had nice robustness of pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the low ABV, and not too heavy on adjuncts. Clean pale malt/grain flavors and mild earthy hop balance. An enjoyable offering.

330ml bottle @ Hickory’s Smokehouse, Chester. Dim lighting so no comment on appearance. Grassy aroma with moderately sweet malts. Taste continues, fairly light, but accompanied my ribs well.
