Bottle from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - dark amber coloured pour with beige head. Medium sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruity and nutty, good mouthfeel, goes down a treat.

Slightly hazy, dark amber. Frothy offwhite head. Floral, caramely aroma. Similar flavour but with a clear malt profile. Alcohol is both well hidden and warming.

Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and caramel, with notes of yeast and hops and vinous touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with pronounced sweet notes of caramel malt and fruit. Bitter aftertaste with sweet-sourish notes. Well-hidden alcohol given the ABV. Well-balanced and nice.

From a 0.5l bottle @ Haandfest 2013. This one pours a typical barley wine body, cloudy and deep amber in color. Lots if sticky sweetness on the nose. Bitter nuts also, and I get yeasty tones as well. Zesty ripe fruits and hints of rubber. Oh, lots of concentrated flavors! Super sugary sweet with raisins and alcohol. It's definitely leaving a warming aftertaste this. A bit to sticky to be fully enjoyed perhaps, but solid. 25.05.2013

Tap at Craft Clapham, 12/12/13. Close to opaque chestnut brown/dark amber with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is dark fruit, cake mix, caramelised sugars, vinous notes, berry fruits. Taste comprises brown sugars, dark fruits, burnt toffee, light booze notes but not 10% worth. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light booze in the closure - slightly warming. Adequate barley line, lacks depth to be a great of the style, easy drinking and the alcohol is fairly well integrated.

50 cl. bottle poured in to a snifter. B.B.E September 2018. Hazy, amber colour with a golden hue. Big, fluffy off-white head, that slowly collapses. Sweet aroma with rich caramel malts, chocolate, floral and resin hops, citrus and grapefruits, bread and sweet fruits. Taste is bitter. Medium to full body, creamy texture - a bit on the lighter side for a 10 % abv. Long lasting, bitter finish with citrus fruits and grape. A hearty amount of malts. An American-styled Barley Wine without the massive bitterness as seen in some examples. Well made.
