A traditional London style porter which used chocolate & black malts in the recipe; a good full roast aroma with hints of liquorice on the tongue and a dry bitter finish.

Transparent black color with a beige head layer on top. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and soft carbonation level. Easy to drink. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry ending. Toffee, roast and coffee in the flavor. Decent easy drinkable stout.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Pours dark brown to black with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, dark brown malt, some caramel. Taste of dark roasted malt, bitter coffee beans, vanilla, caramel, nice!

Smooth mild beginning. Fresh and roasted, not too deep. Neutral bitter, roasted caramel. Moderate sweetness, espresso with sweetish malty hints. Nice though.

By gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Almost jet black body, naked at the surface. Brown dough on the nose. Dark chocolate flavours added by a peaty touch. Nicely roasted bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant (17.02.2017).
