Brown-amber color; creamy head. Very nice hoppy aroma. Good hoppy taste, a bit malty, too much caramel.

Dark red-amber color, misty, nice head. Nice hop aroma, more equilibrate than Jämtlands Pilgrim Ale. Good mix of malt, roasted malt and hop; pretty dry, but less than Jämtlands Pilgrim Ale, also less strong final, anyway really good.

Bottled:
Pours dark reddish brown with a small head. Sourish and peaty aroma. Slightly roasted flavour with notes of bitter almonds, smoke and sour peat. Something’s not right here.

Deep burgundy coloured, nice firm head. Really big chocolate aroma. Hints of orange and coffee. Big, malty body. Medium sweet and lingering balanced bitterness. Yet another solid beer from Jämtlands Bryggeri.

Vvery dark amber in colour, with a robust nose showing chocolatey, coffeeish malt undertones and herbal notes. The body is firm, the finish soft and malty, with hop aromatics. Complex and flavourful, this is another fine beer from a consistently excellent brewery. This ESB deserves a little cask-conditioning.
