500 ml bottle sampled in 2009. Almost clear deep amber with a medium sized, dense beige head. Aroma is dominated by light burnt caramel but also some dry fruit. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, slightly burnt, some dry fruit and moderate in bitterness. Medium to thin body, moderate aftertaste and fizzy carbonation. Not the most impressive brown ale.

Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet herbal combined with lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and chocolate, leading to a dry herbal finish. Not clean as a brown ale should be.

Bottle, from trade with papsoe. It pours a reddish brown body under a dense, beige head. Sourish on the nose, with some solvent. Dried fruits and roasted malt as well. The flavor is burnt and roasted, with a sour twist. Actually, the sourness seems to dominate. Medium to full body. Roasted finish. Sure infected, but it seems to be a nice beer when fresh. Now, still within BB-date, it’s borderline bad. (090116)

100ml sampled from tap at EBF 08. Beige head over a dark, brown body. Traces of roasted grains in aroma. Mild roastiness stays the course through a rather bland taste. Disappointing brown ale (14.09.2008).

Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Very dark brown. Sweet and medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. A bit of roastiness, some soap, but not much to interest me.
