Bottle. Amber with almost no head. Aroma of caramel, a little toast, pears, flowers. Slight carbonation, quite alive. Taste has toffee, pears, spicy and floral bitterness. In good condition but only fair.

Hazy brown beer. Tired caramel malt and some mild hop. Low carbonation. This beer tastes knackered!

50cl bottle. The very dark glass together with the violet label makes the beer look pretty awesome. What’s inside is clear golden pale amber, smooth offwhite head. aroma is caramel, some cheesy sort of sourness, very faint flowery note. flavor is sweet caramelly, honey and flowers, blue berries, mild fruity bitterness, more spicy hoppy bitterness towards the end. Works pretty well, and for a bitter, this one have some more flavors to examine but just bitterness.

50cl bottle @ YNWA. Cloudy amber with sediments floating and a off white head. Rubber, grain, hay, wood and hops. Medium bodied. Quite hoppy and though it has some off flavors its actually pleasant. Ends dry and bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/05/09. Reddish-amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and red fruit. Flavour was sweet, with plenty of butterscotch and a short bitter finish. Ok.
