Bottle. It pours a hazy, dark brown body under a small, beige head. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some licorice and a sourish touch in the aroma. The flavor is a little boring maybe, still with a nice blend of coffee, roasted malt and sweet licorice. Somehow it feels that something is missing. Medium body, quite dry. Lasting coffee-like bitterness. A quite decent one. (081110)

Dark brown color with red shades; big head. Mild aroma, very mild caramel, cheese. Ordinary body strength; roasted malt flavor, mild as well; chocolatey final, but too simple.

2008-11-24, draught at the brewpub in Aalborg as Utzon Dark, 5-3-6-3-11=28
Black color. Light aroma of caramel and dark chocolate. Medium body, with a balanced mix of dark caramel and roasted malt, correct bitterness, light roasted malt sourness. Nothing special.

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish body with a big, creamy beige head. A bit faint aroma of chocolate and liquorices. Flavor is light roasted malt, sweet liquorices and chocolate. It’s balanced, refreshing an a bit odd.
