Draught sample at the brewery. Near black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet aroma with liquorice, toasted bread, nuts, and dark malts. The taste is sweet. Medium body. Slightly drying finish with lingering dark malts. Fine.

Bottle bought in Denmark. Flavour of liquorice, roast malts, dark bitter chocolate, coffee, tar and smoke, moderate hops. Decent beer.

From bottle (gift from my parents) on board Fridtjofen 21.01.20. Ebony. Diminishing brown head. Not much lacing. Fine aroma and taste of roasted malt, liquorice, cigar box and hints of herbs. Some bitterness is lingering on.

Sample@Ølfestival København 2018 - pours black with a beige head. Roasted malty, slight burnt dark malty notes, with chocolate, coffee, caramel, cocoa, medium body, sweet and roasted dark malty finish.

50cl bottle from a trade with Rasmus40, thanks! Pours dark reddish brown to black colour with a mid-sized to small tan head. Aroma of strong dark malt, some coffe, dark fruits and caramel. Taste of dark mild roasted malt, strong malt, some grainy, dark fruits and coffee, overall okay!

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with creamy, beige head. Nice aroma of roasted chocolate, vanilla, cocoa powder. Silky, sweet chocolate flavor with some cream, grains, biscuits and roast. Quite light and not so complex, but very nice nonetheless.

Clear, very dark brown. Tiny, fizzy tan head. Roasted aroma. Roasted, light fruity flavour. Sweetish, medium carb finish. Rather one dimensional.
