23/7/2022. Bottle from Beers of Europe, shared at the ITFC pre-season gathering. Probably the last ever time I'll open a Cotleigh bottle and ponder why they continued to use clear bottles right until the end. Poured clear dark golden with a frothy white head. Aroma was malty, caramel, butter, citrus, butterscotch, veg and starch. Quite sweet, light bitterness. Moderate body, watery, soft carbonation. Pretty much delivered everything I was expecting, but still a shame such a long standing brewery closed down.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Golden coloured with medium white head. Aroma gives a bit of apple, maybe a bit of honey but is a bit musty. Taste is a bit bitter and a bit weird. Can get the apple bit and the mustiness in the taste but it is also a bit off. Medium carbonation, and feels quite nice in the mouth, but I just don't really like the taste much I'm afraid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Golden Seahawk on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5. Bottle from Beers of Europe. It's called Seahawk Gold. Appearance - golden with very low carbonation. Nose - a bit butterscotch straight away. Doh! Maybe some caramel and orange. Taste - caramel and honey. Could still be butterscotch though. Palate - close to medium bodied and generally cloying. Overall - not great, might be faulty.

Cask at the Ledger Building, Canary Wharf, 23/01/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is straw, bread, toasted grains, light citric infuse. Taste comprises bread dough, grains, biscuit, light fruit esters, straw, airy malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough condition just lacks any real flavour.

Clear glass bottle. Golden with a thin head. Maintains a pleasant fruit character through and through with a lingering aftertaste.
