On tap at Open Baladin - Rome, pours a cloudy bright amber red with a small white head. Aroma has notes of marzipan, red fruits, toffee, and a touch of spicy Belgian yeast. Flavour is similar, with toffee, marzipan, red fruits, and moderate estery sweetness to finish. Not the most refined and too sweet and estery, but still decent.

0.75L bottle bought in a small shop of a small town in the Jura mountains - it's a quite strange place to find a Baladin beer which I've not tasted so far :) ; opalescent reddish dark amber colour, medium sized creamy yellowish beige head; aroma of apricot jam, toffee, some plum, dried sour cherry and whisky notes; taste is the same with some soy sauce notes; great one!

bottiglia 75 cl, schiuma bianco sporco evanescente, colore ambrato torbido, al naso frutta matura anice spezie miele una punta di ananas e whisky, in bocca frutta matura liquirizia frutta secca leggero whisky, corpo rotondo, alcool ben evidente, carbonazione moderata, dolce con amaro moderato e un finale abbastanza asciutto. Bottle, ABV 10%, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Hazy orange to amber colour, moderate head. The aroma and flavour are oaky with hints of whisky and funky notes. Interesting and powerful beer.

Bottle. Pors hazy orangeish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of Belgian yeast, with notes of malt and caramel and touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, Belgian yeast and dried fruit, with touches of hops and spice. Estery and malty aftertaste with mild acidic hints. Warming alcohol presence. A very decent beer for the style from outside Belgium, and a good one as such.
