A bright amber beer with a thick and full-bodied head. Its scent contains notes of cereals and sweet biscuits, accompanied by light nuances of citrus fruits in the background which, as the beer becomes warmer, turn into nuts and white chocolate. A continuous evolution to the very last sip. Its taste has a striking sweetness accompanied, again, by notes of nuts and biscuits, as well as ripe fruit, vanilla and citrus fruits, which round up its complexity.

Bottle. Hazy, amber color, weak foam. Excellent aroma, shades of vanilla, malts, candy, dried fruits (apricots, yellow plum), raisins, sherry, a little fresh yeast cake with raisins. Taste: wine, sherry, sparkling plum wine, cake, toffee, vanilla. Very good one.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av torkad frukt, aprikos, russin, brunt socker, apelsinskal, karamell, kryddor med toner av honung och äpplen. Stor sötma, fruktig, rund och len, värmande alkohol, fin beska.

*Bottle from Rudat. Very fruity beer with a nice and round sweetish grainy body. Caramel, dried fresh fruits and nice smooth and fruity yeast. Heavy intense thick but still easy to drink. Nice and viscous.

A 0.75 l bottle that poured a hazy brownish body with small to medium sized ivory head. Dry caramelized sugar aroma, even light dog food with a grainy touch and a bit of wood. Flavor was accordingly lightly sweet, heavily toasted, yet not roasted malts with wide variety of these flavors like caramel, dried fruit, brown sugar, alcohol. Then, strong wood, almost whisky peat bitterish bite came just a bit later. Medium to full in body with a long peaty, malty and fruity sugary finish. A bit weird like most of the Baladins tend to get but this one unfortunately didn’t amaze me.

Again, enormous thanks to heavy for sharing. Dark amber body, slightly hazy, tiny white head, almost none. Distinctly caramelly malty aroma, alcohol and more caramel. dry, sweetish, with notes of dates and müsli. Somewhat sugary, notes of figs. Complex and appealing. The taste is less impressive in comparison, full, nice, dry malty taste, again, a caramel bomb, notes of alcohol, sweetish. Good, but I somehow expected more.

Bottle @ Jacobs,courtesy of Rasmus40. Pours golden amber with a fading offwhite head. Aroma of malt caramel, little bread, sweet dried fruit, alcohol. Flavor is rather sweet, malty, caramel, little spice, sweet dried fruit, plum, raisin, alcohol. Medium to full body, rather high carbonation, sweet finish with loads of warming alcohol. 210516

On tap @Open Baladin (Rome). Pours an amazing deep orange/red color with a light white head. Aroma is malty, bread, dough rises, caramel, yeasts. Flavour is sweet with a very light bitter end. Medium body, medium carbonation. Delicate, very boring...

Bottle @ OlutExpo 2015 Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of ripe fruits, berries, yeast, caramel and syrup. Taste is sweetish, smooth and ripe fruity with some berries, yeast and caramel. Finish is sweet, caramely and yeasty with some ripe fruits. Pretty generic but balanced.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - L095/150 - BBE June 2017, from Alko Arkadia, 20150912) The beer poured reddish brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and nuts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, fruitiness, grass, strawberries and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, boozy, malty and bitter. An interesting and rather pleasant but bit too boozy brew.
