A delicate amount of Maple syrup is added to each barrel of our award winning Maple Nut Brown Ale to impart roasted sweetness. This addition balances the nut flavor produced by Munich caramel and chocolate malts used in the brewhouse, producing a drinkable dark amber ale with a relatively low alcohol content.

bottle - Pours dark brown with a two finger head. The light aroma is of sour malts. Odd. The flavor is malty and sour. I think itโs infected and I do see a few other reviewers mentioning the infection problem. Thereโs not much else here. Itโs thin, watery, and sour. Not good. Itโs nothing like some of the other reviews mention (chocolate, caramel, etc. Nope. Unpleasant, sour crap.). They put out an infected batch. The more I drink, the worse it gets. Terrible. Iโm draining pouring the last bit.

Very cloudy brown color with floating sediments, thin head. Aroma is sweet maple syrup, yeast. Syrupy sweet tase of rotten apples. Sweet and tartness offends the senses. Not at all drinkable.

Reddish brown color, small off-white head. Cracker malty and hoppy nose, hints of milk chocolate and toasted nuts there too. Very watery, nutty malty flavor. Mildly syrupy and chocolaty. Quite light and a bit sweet beer. Easy to drink, easy to forget.

Pour is a dark maple brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is hints of malts, hops and a thick sweetness. Flavor is blah. Super sour with nothing really redeaming going on. No maple no nuts just sour milk. Must be a bad of spoiled bottle b/c there is no way any brewer would sell this crap.

Dark red-brown, med head. Caramel and maple aromas and flavors, with the fake caramel winning out in the flavor. Light and boring palate. Nothing going on here.

Poured a deep dark brown with a medium white lacing head from the bottle. Sugary aroma, slight malt, and spicy, like bourbon or whiskey. Strange flavor, super sugary like poorly mixed KoolAid. Maple flavor is almost non-existent. Watery on the palate. Not very pleasing at all.

Bottle, packaged Aug. 06. Donโt know about anyone else, but I find the smell upon pouring nicely compelling. Stoutish, chocolate-y and coffee-y with hints of maple underneath. Dark brown under a fizzy, short-lived head. First taste impression, though, is that it may have been carbonated too highly. But then those lovely aromas make way for a rather basic brew accented by a not overwhelming maple syrup spin. Maybe if I were having much more, it might turn me off, but this is a nice change for a session brew.

Unusual. Dark brown with a thick and creamy Guinness-like head. Flavor has very light maple. Flavor is sour; I wonder if it is infected? If it is, the infection is probably helping this beer. Sweet malt finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, handsome reddish mahogany with a small, off-white head. Malty, sweetish aroma with a hint of walnuts. Medium body, sweetish malty with notes of brown sugar and nuts. No real bitterness in the finish. 110606
