33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Berlin. Bottled 11.02.2016, BBE 11.02.2018. Lots of foam when pouring. Aroma has sweet toffee candy, perfume and apricot. Flavour has sweet toffee candy, plastic tones, alcohol, mild pear esthers and hints of menthol. Perhaps a bit too boozy but interesting still. Most likely the best German tripel I’ve had.

Bottle, shared at a beer tasting @ Beer Temple - thanks Peter for providing these beers. Clear, pale yellow color. White head. Aroma’s: aniseed/fennel seeds, sweet herbs, light vegetables. Retronasal it’s sweet fruit, herbs (anise), some bitter herbs. Flavor is moderate sweet, herbal/spicy. Medium bodied. Rather high carbonation. Finishes moderate bitter, herbal.

Bottle: Pale golden, hazy, small creamy white layer; medical hops and traces of liquorice(!?) in the sweet-bitter nose, maybe some lemons, too; robust sweet flavour with a slight bitter tartness, full bodied and sticky; sweet fruity and tart (a bit adstringent) finish. No glory! Too sweet, too many weird aromas…
