(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a beautiful, reddish chestnut brown with a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Sweetish, malty nose with both vinous and fruity notes. Medium body, some roasted malt and fruit and unfortunately also a rather unpleasant metallic edge and a brutal and unrefined bitterness. Nice aroma, looking good - but the flavour... 050507

A hazy deep red beer with an orange head. The aroma is primarily of caramel. The flavor is sweet, yet a little acidic, with notes of roasted bread, but the mouthfeel and power is surprisingly thin for a Doppelbock and for a beer of 7.6% ABV.
