The long-awaited return of our “Overall Gold” winning beer at SIBA North East Beer Awards 2017 and the SIBA National silver-winning beer in 2018… this time in can! Keras is a classic American-style sessional pale ale that uses two old school-favourite US hops; Cascade and Chinook. Subtly dry-hopped so the refreshing citrus and pine notes are balanced in this clean, crisp and moreish pale ale.

(Cask at The Rook Taproom, 20250609) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness grass and honey. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were honey, grass, fruitiness, hints of biscuits and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was dry and bitter. Pleasant.

Cask gravity at the Prae Wood Arms beer fest. A almost clear straw yellow coloured pour with a fine loose white head. Aroma is crisp earthy grains, straw, cereal dry lemon, hedgerow hop. Palate is super crisp and fine, light grains, pithy, decent cask condition. Hits the spot.

Double red lines have never really taken off - yellow still dominates. This is fairly yellow, still a bit golden. Easy, hopped session, in part due to its low alcohol value making it slip down the palate with a textured smoothness. Some fruity notes found. --- Beer merged from original tick of Keras Pale on 13 Aug 2017 at 04:46 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: Cask @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Darker golden with a small head. Hoppy with light dry tropical fruit notes that linger.
