The colour of burnished copper, with a markedly bitter finish from the generous use of Goldings and Progress hops. Flavoursome English pale malt is blended with speciality Belgian malt to add balance and a smooth finish, which lasts and lasts. Full-bodied, yet with an ease of drinking which belies its strength.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thank you very much, Graham!]. Opalescent, amber colour with small, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Fruity and slightly leafy, hoppy aroma, minimally grainy-spicy, malty background, rather unspecific fruitiness on a spectrum between peach, apricot and marmalade. Taste is grainy-spicy, minimally husky malty, slightly fruity, minimally leafy hoppy, condensed hints of unspecific fruitiness, a touch of marmalade, peach, apricot; lingering, fine, fruity finish. Creamy texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft to flat carbonation. Not overly intense, but very fine, subtle, smooth - nice.
