This Kolsch poured a slightly hazy, light yellow colour with a fizzy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include corn, honey, dough… First swig was thin but not too bad. Flavours of honey and corn are most prominent. Finish is light malt and minimal hops.

Can from the lcbo. Clear golden pour, small, very quickly dissipating head. Aroma is pale, grassy cereals, light malts, no hops. Light apple skin, slightly musty. Finish isn't as clean as I would like, a little muddled with the musty cereals. Slightly sweet finish, wet paper finish. Not great.

16 oz. can from Withey's Health Foods in Kalispell, MT. Pours a clear gold color with a large white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Faint lemony aroma. Light lager flavor with the same faint lemon note in the finish. Medium-light body. Below average carbonation. Zero bitterness. I would not have guessed this is a Kolsch. Very easy drinking and enjoyable overall, if not a bit generic.

Very slightly unfiltered, bright yellow-straw colour with a frothy white cap, leaving some light tiny-bubble ring. Yeasty nose at first with citrus notes, then the graininess found in the style is what shows and stays. The taste shows as well the cereal grain malts with very light hops in the finish, showing some hints of spiciness found in Pils. The mouthfeel is a little on the crisp side with enough dryness to be refreshing.
