Deep sunset gold colour, delicate hints of hedgerow-fresh organic hops, with a tangy malty flavour.

Copper colour. Thin head. Slightly spicy English hop note, with slightly caramelly malts (of course). Definitely pasteurized. Light spice, lots of caramel and hints of English yeast character. Too clean for what I want in an English ale.

Flaske delt med medbrygger Ovesen: en lettdrikkelig golden ale uten det store særpreget. Kommer neppe til å kjøpe denne igjen.

Bottle at home. The colour is clear amber with a medium and frothy off-white head. Light fruity aroma with caramel, hay and apricot. Fruity is also the flavours and with leather, hops and some wood and citrus. The flavour is also drier. Soft and sparkly mouth feel. Bitterness = light+. An okay ale with a nice hoppy touch.

Clear 500ml bottle: best before Mar 09, drank early Feb 09. Poured into a UK pint sleeve glass. Very slight haze to the beer which is an orangey, light amber colour. The white head which originally sat on top soon turned into a thin crust before falling away to a collar and wisp. The aroma wasn’t anything huge, some hops and a yeasty wiff otherwise nothing. If going organic means getting rid of flavour and taste then this beer is organic alright. What hints of beeriness I could find were OK, but I don’t expect to have too hunt for flavours in a UK Bitter or Ale, they should hit you in an abundance from the start. There are suggestions of hops and malts but they are well hidden. Doesn’t taste or feel like a 4.5% beer, lacks body and depth. Disappointed really. It is drinkable but it lacks character and any complexion.

Pours a crystal clear dark orange body with a side sticking white bubbly and slowly completely fading head. Aromas are thin caramel malts, grassy hops and also some flowerish notes. Body is heavy carbonated and quite watery. Tastes of thin caramel, quite watery, some grassy hops and a strange sigarettish flavor. There is also a dry metallic bitter ending on this one. Not horrible, but to light bodied and boring for me.

Bottle shared with Lyoli. Pours a clear, kind of orange-ruby with a receding head and plenty of bubbles in the glass. Pure pasteurization in the nose, along with some leafy, fruity hops. Flavor ain’t bad, some mild dough, metal, honey and sugar. Light to medium in body with average, lightly fizzy carbonation. Finishes with some modest hops, light malts. A little odd but quite drinkable.
