Once awarded CAMRA Champion Beer of Gloucestershire this deceptively strong pale ale is eminently quaffable. The delicate hop aroma develops into a vibrantly fruity, smooth finish.

Cask (Sandford Park Alehouse, Cheltenham) - Deep golden. Malty aroma with notes of wort. The taste is hoppier than I was expecting with notes of citrus, bread and some earthy notes.

Taste comprises stewed fruits, bready, sultanas, biscuit, light herb, fruit cake. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Cask-conditioned at the Lamb, Iron Acton, Gloucs. Near orange with a slight white head. Sweet aroma of figs and almonds. Flavour started sweet before the bitterness kicked in. Hard to categorise but ok.

Cask (Westend, Stratford upon Avon): Deep golden to light amber coloured, small lacing white head; honey, fruit and aromatic herbal hops in the nose; soft but distinctive bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; a mix of fruit, malt and hops in the shorter finish. A fine brew..........

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A slightly hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is slightly sulphury, while the flavor is very grassy and dry, with a bitter hoppy end.
