Cask at the Cleveland Arms, London. Leaves on the nose with hints of toasty malts and faint berries. Light sweet flavor with some dry citrus, modest leafy hops, some dry grass, a bit of toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great balance. Dry berries to finish, light tosty sugars, twigs and leaves. Yeah, it’s a standard bitter/golden ale, but given the optimal condition here and now, this is about as good as this beer can be.

Re-rate in 2013 (Glasgow): Golden-amber, the aroma is honeyish-floral, biscuity. It’s fruity but with some sticky pale malts, resiny bitterness, biscuity malt... Drinks like an American IPA but with the size of an English bitter.

Old rate (2010, Edinburgh): @ Abbotsford, Edinburgh. Golden amber. Not much aroma. Light toasty with some stale tobacco notes, maybe a mineral accent. Dryish beer but otherwise nothing special. Some juicy notes late help out.

Cask at GBBF08. Almost clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is citric and refreshing, but I also get a little plastic.
