Panda to home, thanks to SHIG, 29/07/20. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is dark malts, toffee, brown bread, dried fruits, nuts. Taste comprises fruit cake, brown sugar dusting, toffee, dates, burnt biscuit, earthy tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a nip of booze. Not bad.

Bottle shared with Grumbo: Poured a brown with red orange edges, head is lacing tan. Aroma is a fruity cough syrup, medicine for sure like it's name. Taste is spicy, rich caramel malt, finish is a bit ruff barky.

Bottle: Nose is smoke, lots of oak, slight vinious, . Taste is cherry cola, smoke, touch of pepper, leads to some coco and a sweet then bitter finish. There is too much sweetness in the middle order, but pleasent enough.

Cask (hand pump) at the Darlington Spring Thing Beer Festival 2011. ABV is 6.3%. Very dark ruby colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Very nice vinous aroma, hints of oak and ripe red fruits. The flavour has a certain fruitiness with vinous notes, but is not very sweet. Moderately bitter finish with woody notes. One of the better beers of the festival.
