A light golden, hoppy beer traditionally brewed using only the finest quality of Stonehenge Spring Water, barley and wheat malts, whole hops and the brewery’s own top-fermenting yeast. This session bitter has a pleasing hop aroma and slight bitterness which develops into a well-rounded bitter finish accompanied by a pleasant maltiness and fruitiness.

August 2008: Cask (hand pump / beer engine) at the GBBF 2008. Golden colour, low head. Moderate but nice aroma of honey, tropical fruits and flowers. The flavour also has some fruits (grapefruit) and honey, moderate hops in the finish. Okay.

Cask half-pint on 12th April 2019, hand-pulled in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates Shropshire. Clear golden body, fluffy white crown on top. Floral aroma with a slight piney twist. The taste was mildly bitter with a light malty base below the hoppy front. Not a lot going on to be honest.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Floral aroma. Copper gold. Thin white bubbly head. Medium bitter. Pretty hoppy. Sour edge. Medium bodied. Slick. Low key carbonation. Long dry finish. Characterful enough.

(Cask at Angleterre, 20170407) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had grass, earth and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, earth, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A nice English style pale ale.

Cask @ Angleterre. Poured light golden color with a thin white head. Mild fruity, grainy, slightly dark fruity aroma. Flavor has citrusy hops, floral notes, hay. Dry bitter finish.

Forms a lasting head(!) Aroma is quite nothing. Perhaps some cardboard, hay and fruits. Flavour has bready malt, some hay, fruits and hints of hops. A bit sour and leathery feeling with lactic acid. Not good.

Yellow golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of light hops, malt and a very mild citrus scent. Light-bodied; Sharp hoppiness up front with a potent malt backbone and a very noticeable bit of sugar. Aftertaste shows a bit more well-rounded complexity, with the hops coming out more. Overall, a decent beer and very nice for me to try! I sampled this beer on cask at the Market Porter in Borough, London, England on 11-March-2008.

Cask @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear medium yellow golden color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity - apricot. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (070808)
