Handpull cask at the White Lion Hotel, Upton upon Severn. Dark amber, clear, no head. Earthy dark caramel in the aroma. Cherry syrup, bonfire toffee. Very sweet taste, more toffee, bitter finish. Thin body, little carbonation. A bit weird and not particularly satisfying.

Cask @ The Plough Inn, Ford. Pours a slightly murky chestnut colour with a tint of red and a thin white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel and a little bready. Taste has more of the same notes from the aroma. Medium body and low carbonation. Low bitterness. Ok but i enjoyed the Donnington Gold more.

Cask at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough BF (at the bar - may have been part of the BF range?) - 12/10/12. Clear golden/amber with a decent off white head. It’s appearance was the highlight of this beer! Pale malt nose and a touch of the vinegars. Taste is pale malt a little fruit and hops. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, bitter finish. Dull.

15th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Hazy amber beer. Little cream head. Sulphur on the nose - sigh! Dry palate - almost chalky. Fresh tangy fruit - tart orange with an unusual and pleasant dash of cherry. Nice flavour but the palate is too bloody dry!
