A refreshing dark beer! Dark brown with a white head. Roast malt/coffee notes on the nose lead to chocolate-vanilla and prickly hops on the palate. Finish is cleansing and refreshing.

On tap: Dark ruby-amber coloured, limited, slightly lacing foam, delicate fruity to roastmalty nose; moderate dryish-bitter flavour, light bodied; dry roasted notes in the bitter-fruity finish, rounded by some acidity. O.K., nothing unpleasant detectable.............

Very deep black in colour, with a smokey roast malt nose, sweet mellow roast with a little chocolate ... touch of blackcurrent....3.6 tkX drunk not rated but score def needs upped 3.9 cask at cloisters dec 11... deep copper red ... thin tan head ... soft sweet malts ... juicy blackcurrant roast ... dark malt fruits ... cask at cloisters may 12... deep red brown ... creamy tan head ...soft sweet deep berry fruity malts ... low carbonation ... light roast ... mellow malts ... deep fruits ...
