Bottle, bought at a local store in Split, brewed at Sharp’s. Waited for me for 7 months, as I forgot to rate it last December. Oh well. Coppery amber body with a small off white head, small but lasting. A bit fizzy. Dried fruit and caramel in the aroma, some orange too. Creamy taste, raisins, fruity, light mouthfeel, but full body for the ABV technically, honey and caramel, solid carbonation, not excessive. Not a bad beer overall by any means, miles ahead of that Doom Bar garbage, not superb, but if you like a solid, light malt-driven beer and don’t have a better choice, why not.

Draught at Franciscan Well, Cork. Clear, light orange colored. AROMA- pleasant, malty, some red berries, flowers. FLAVOR- neutral, smooth, bready malty with touch of red berries. Light bodied.

Dec. ’15. A 0.33 l bottle from a local Tommy supermarket. This one poured a clear brownish-red body with a tiny head atop. Caramel aroma, coarser. Flavor was lightly bitter, roasted caramel, only a bit fruity. Light herbal hops spiced it up. Thin bodied, but absolutely normal for the style. Finished lightly sweet with pleasant, elegant toasted malt notes, especially the smooth biscuit. Okay, a pleasant Irish ale. It’s been a while since my last one.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear dark amber, small off-white head. Both the aroma and the taste a malt-driven, caramelized sugar, plum jam, dark honey. A hint of toasted bread and a touch of spicy hops in the finish. The somewhat abrasive carbonation is the only downside. Not bad.

Pours a clear darker shade of amber, light coppery color, topped with a medium sized and not really lasting beige head. Mild malty aroma with caramel and some sicuity notes. Some chalk but not too intrusive. Taste is mildly sweet, malty with some pleasant caramel presence. Gentle and very light. Nice one.
