A copper coloured bitter with a well balanced blend of malt & hops. An initial rich, malty mouth feel is rounded off by orangey / zesty hops and a touch of spice.

(Cask at Lass oβ Gowrie, Manchester, 23 July 2009) Amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of orange and grain. Fruity, malty taste with orange, apricots, some grain and a moderate bitterness in the finish. Fairly light body, balanced sweetness. Drinkable, but hardly exciting.

Cask-conditioned at the Clytha Arms, Gwent. Pale amber with a lacy white head. Malty aroma, with plenty of summer fruits, grassy hops and a touch of toffee. Big malty flavour, the same fruit and caramel before a slight bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle @ thewolf-and-his-flock-of-sheep tasting session. Slight hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma is quite hoppy. Bitter taste. More like a bitter to me than a golden ale, but they are so familiar these english styles.

Cloudy dark golden with a lasting white head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Dry and hoppy flavour. Standard golden ale, and certainly not the worst.

Bottle (bought at "Thirst for beer", Pwllheli): Orangey to amber coloured, hazy, foamy islands on the surface; fruity (bananas), yeasty, suorish nose; sweet-sour flavour, fizzy; sweet fruity and sourish and yeasty finish. Possibly infected ???. Tastes like a combination of a german Weizen and an english Ale ! Poor !
