Jet black pour, mocha head. Amazing aroma of bitter cocoa, deep roasted malts, and espresso. Loads of great sweet roasted malts, the oats add a great velvet/thick mouthfeel. Touches ir anise and licorice. Very bitter finish leads to a satisfying espresso finish.

(Bottle) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of jam, roast; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Pour is a complete black with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is a full roast and char malt. Flavor is a minor roast, some chocolate syrup and a green hop spicy bitterness. This brewer may have been bought out by AB and some of their beers are kind of meh but I thought this was real good. Plenty of roasted malt, just enough sweetness and the hops actually make an appearance.

Tap at ibrew wired. Nice enough, rich, roasty, bit sweet. Little bitterness, some citrus, interesting. Lemonade further down. Is that supposed to be there? I quite liked that bit.

Purchased in a bomber while traveling through Montana, a pleasing acquisition. Tilting into my New Belgium .47l snifter it comes out a midnight black while giving a thin, small-bubbled head steadily replenished by active carbonation. I get a whiff of raspberry and a stiff hit of chocolate. Taking a taste it is all business, burnt toast, charcoal, semi-sweet chocolate and a distinct hop factor. It finishes moderately bitter, a gift from the hops. Different from most imperial stouts I have tasted, it is quite enjoyable.

Bottle from a Safeway on the road from Seattle to Spokane. Poured into a nice plastic cup, jet black with a lasting, foamy, beige head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains cold coffee, some milk, (roasted) malt, caramel and dark chocolate. It tastes medium chocolatey sweet and light to medium bitter with a toasty finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, well-hidden alcohol. A smooth, drinkable Imperial Stout.
