Exceptional in Summer, Irresistible All Year Round. Enticing floral aromas from Cascade hops while Hersbrucker add more floral and soft fruit, Northdown hops develop aromas and light bitterness, all balanced by a malty moreish flavour and satisfying bitterness. Malted wheat ensures a silky smooth finish.

Cask (Clachaig Inn, Glencoe): Impressive sweet-fruity and very aromatic-hoppy nose; deep golden, small, persistent fluffy foam; solid, mainly dry bitter flavour, light bodied; short, fruity, bitter and aromatic finish. Good.........

Cask conditioned at the Star, Bath 11/5/07. Golden coloured with slight white head. The most prominent thing about XPA was the aroma, which was huge. This was buttery with a hint of caramel, and reminded me of some Franconian kellerbiers. The flavour was more subdued, with citrussy hops and a malty finish. Unusual and very good.

Pale golden ale, with a fruity nose, fruity hoppyness with a light bitter linger, nicly balanced... again smithies ale house edinburgh ... slightly clowded yellow ... light fruity citric hop ... very fruity quite well balanced ... little sharp ... lots of juicyness.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A golden beer with a thin light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty a bit on the light side. The flavor is sweet and rather malty with light notes of caramel, leading to a lightly bitter end. A bit boring.

Cask at Archibald Simpson, Aberdeen, ”The Full Moon Beer Festival” 20. October. Hazy golden colour with a tiny white head. Fruity aroma. Flavour is fresh, fruity cascade dominated with a modest bitterness. Short, dry finish. OK but not outstanding in any way.

Half pint on gravity. Golden. No head. Fresh fruity aroma. A scottish brew with lots of citrus and hops and with some malts lurking behind (The 11th St Albans Beer Festival, 29.09.2006)

Cask at GBBF 2006. Pale copper with thick cream head. Yeasty stoney beer. Quite a sharp hop to it. Pleasant, drinkable, hop keeps you interested. Some caramel. Hops on end are good.
