Bottle. A clear, amber beer topped by a small, off-white head. Cooked vegetables and caramel in the aroma, quite grainy, with some ryebread and a faint note of cellar. Malt dominated flavor with caramel, roasted malts and grainy notes. Full-bodied. Sweet, caramel finish. Except for the DMS on the nose, it is a quite pleasant beer, but also boring. (081031)

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very dark, very fine foam. Tastes not as malty as other bockbeers, but also strong. The finish a little bit "earthy" - very interesting. Really good bock!

Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured, huge firm off-white head, slowly collapsing; fruity, a bit roastmalty nose with a touch of caramel and an unknown amount of hops in the background; moderate sweetish and (malty-) bitter flavour; medium bodied, soft MF; delicate sweet-malty anfd fruity finish with a light, a bit drier bitterness in the aftertaste. A pleasant, chewy, malt-accented brew....
