Hazy orange color, good creamy white head. Wheaty banana aroma. Medium to full bodied. Foamy carbonation. Banana, estery, wheaty, some candy. Easy going Weizenbock.

Cloudy. Tan. Very sugary aroma of candy and banana. Far too sweet and simplistic, without even a hint of balance. More banana throughout, but this is gross cloying candy.

Bottle, 6.8% at the brewpub. Banana aroma, slightly chemical. Cloudy amber colour. Small head. The flavour is sweet and chemical as well. Not the best of Weizenbocks.

Bottled. An unclear orange-brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat and caramel as well as light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wheat, and banana, as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry wheaty finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottled@Timo A Tasting session. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is banana, some zest, spices, herbs and also mild yeastyness. Flavour is alcohol, some banana, wheat and some herbal notes. Otherwise a very nice brew, but a bit too carbonated for my liking.

Huge pale mango-yellow head, extremely dense, over fully hazy amberish beer with Grünstich . Fresh banana mash, milkshake, bit of solvent, plywood. Again solvent, totally full of fusels and esters; alcohol rounding it off to quite sweet. Always the plywood flavour, and a more or less sourish-fruity lining, going to medicinal. Retronasal lots of banana and a little solvent. Well bodied, very slick (wheat and grist), even creamy texture. Despite the brewers’ generosity, it’s not the best of Weizenbocks.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a very cloudy reddish amber with a dense, off-white head. Distinct aroma of banana and other exotoc fruit. Quite full-bodied, very, very fruity, banana, yeast and cloves. Has a vague underlying acidity, but nothing that spoils the fun. Dry finish. Quite lovely really. 130608

50 cL bottle. Pours murky and light brown with a lacing white head. Strange citrusy aroma. Flavour is strange acetone and light acidic/estery. This isn’t right, you rarely find infected/bad German beers - this is one of these rare cases. - rerate needed.
