Londonstyle porter with nice flavours from black-, chocolate and caramellmalts. English hops for bittering (BU 30). No aroma hops to bring out the best from the malts. Will be replaced by Göteborgsporter (2009-09-29)

On tap at Bishops Arms, Järntorget, Göteborg. Pours black, beige head. Aroma is malty, some grins, caramel, dry, keeping a liquorice/dark malts nose. Taste, roasted malts, lightly hoppy background, light chocolate palate. Same base as the imp porter, a lot milder and still tasty.

Bottle at 3 Små Rum, Gothenburg. Pours a clear, almost black body under a small, beige head. Coffeeish and roasted aroma with some fruity hops and a little licorice. A quite pleasant aroma, but maybe a bit on the roasted side. The flavor follows the same path, with coffee and roasted malt and a little licorice. Dry in the mouth, and with a long coffee-bitter and roasted finish. The beer is quite nice, but a bit one-dimentional. I respect the brewers wish to focus on the malts, keeping the hops at a low level, but I like my porters more fruity and hoppy. (080709)

Tap at DentatoveredeEnke, Copenhagen. Black with a cremy beige foam. Aroma & taste is roasted malts. Caramel, coffee & quite ashy taste. Little too thin palate & too sweet & buttery! OK

Half pint on tap downstairs at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Beig foam resting for a while on a pitch black body. Smell of dark malts and sweet liquorice. Pretty much the same in flavour; the liquorice being more bitter and the malt leading more in the direction of chocolate. Medium bodied (30.05.2008).

Black with a small but lasting light brown head. Rich aroma with licorice, wood, and some smoke. Dry roasted flavour, with that charcoal character, some smoke in the finish.
