"Elaborated in Normandy" **chuckles** $10 bottle from New Beer. Ommegang anniversary glass. Clear, golden, light maple color. Very spritzy. Smells of honey-sweet apples, grass, soggy oak, & a slight touch of pickling. Nice blend of bitter & sweet, leaning sweeter. Lots of wood notes & grassy bitterness. Not all that apple-y. Light to moderate acidity, low tartness. Alcohol isn’t completely in check. Quite carbonated & minerally. Very dry, grain & vanilla finish.

750 ml bottle. Golden body with a thin white head that fades quickly. Mild, and acidic apple aroma with some wood. Flavor is dry apple, moderate acidity, and distinct wood. Aftertaste has more obvious apple flavor. Not great, but nice and quite fascinating.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s quite fizzy in the glass, clear, golden in color and some bubbles on top. The aroma has a faint woody touch, or maybe it’s more apple cores. It gives signals of being acidic, but it’s not very acidic when tasting it. Mostly apples, apple cores and with a little touch of something reminiscent of sulphur. A quite decent cider, but a bit weak and boring. 120124
