75 cl bottle. Hazy yellow color, short but sustained white head, fizzy. Aroma is flowery, citrus/curação, "wild" belgian yeast,champenoise/ white wine, malts are really under cover. Almond on the finish. Light body would not expect this to be 8.4%, surprise, quite quaffable indeed. Medium bitterness, light to medium body. Finish is sharp, astringent, lemony, fairly dry and definitely raw, with a medium extension. Liked several features, but sounds "homemade", maybe a fermentation/oxidation issue, at first it was a bit "meh" but then it warmed up nicely.

On tap @ Golosaria 2015, Milano.

At the 8th tasting (round 1), held at Vlada Beerville pub in Belgrade-Serbia. Pours cloudy hay yellowish color, some white foam. Nose: rotten lemons, bad! Mouth: confusing flaws on the citric side. Awful.

Hazy golden coloured body with a rich orange tint and a nice copper highlight, all with a single centimetre tall plain white head. Aroma of yeast, metal, earth, hops, grapes, honey and a little bit of rice and grain - not so great. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty and metallic flavour at first with a deep bitterness and a lot of alcohol notes, similar to a european strong lager or a imperial pils and less of an ale at all. Aftertaste shows some earth, metal, bitterness, alcohol and some lighter, more herbal flavours of grass, hay and light spices. Overall, a decent beer, if that, but more of a pale lager with a lot of alcohol and a bitter finish...that shows more than any belgian strong ale (currently classified as). I sampled this 75 cL bottle (with it’s own corkscrew (a real screw) purchased from La Rinascente in Milan, Italy on 17-February-2014 for €9,90 sampled at home on this side of the Atlantic in Washington on 17-June-2014 two days before leaving abroad again.
