31st July 2010. ChrisO’s ’Raise The Roof’ tasting.
Clear brown beer with a little tan head. Light palate - softish. Malt and that’s about it! Dull.

Bottle at Chris O’s ’Raise the Roof’ tasting. Cloudy brown pour with a beige head. Strong caramel, toffee and butterscotch aromas. Caramel and toffee flavours. Like eating a packet of Toffos when I was a nipper. Sweet, malty finish.

Flaske 0,5l på DFDS "Queen of Scandinavia" mellom Oslo og København 18 Feb 10. Dyp rød på farge – nesten sort. Middels stort kremskum. Svak aroma av kaffe. Smaken er også dempet men litt kaffe også her. Svakt bitter ettersmak. Kjedelig.

Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel malts, some slight roasted notes as well as mild nuttyness. Flavour is quite much the same. A rather thin brew, and a bit pale for a stout, but regardless of that a quite pleasant brew.

75cl bottle, irma. I would’ve rated this higher if they had called it skands’ classic or something. Does not even remotely compare to other beer calling themselves stout. It’s an okay beer, but you can get the same selecting something at random from the "ordinary cheap beer" shelf at the local supermarket. Aroma was not at all stout’ish, but if i think "turborg classic" it’s okay. Appearance is good, except not for a stout. looks a bit brown ale’ish. Flavor is okay for a "tuborg classic" style of beer, roasty and watery. Palate okay, Overall this is just an ordinary beer at an extraordinary price.

Clear Dark brown. Lager aroma. Litle roastyness and finishes with discrete bitterness. Boring for a stout....
