500ml bottle from Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Good looking, palisander body with a thin, off-white head. Smell of roasted malt with a sweet touch. Ingredients of sweet, dark malts, almost like vanilla caramel, and liquorice. Full mouthfeel with a rather strong alcoholic tingle (shared with Finn A. and Arild, 31.05.2008).

Bottle. It has a clear, copper body and a beige head, looking quite cute. Aromas of beef-stock, sugary maltyness, some fruity, caramel and a touch of alcohol espaces the glass. In the mouth, it has a pleasant malty and meaty flavor with a nice fruity touch. Low on bitterness initially, but it’s there when the beer is swallowed. The finish is quite roasted and sweet as well, and it lasts for a good while. Full body. A pleasant dobbelbock. (080314)

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish, malty, roasted aroma. Quite full-bodied with roasted malts and some floral touches. Distinct alcohol in the finish that also has quite some bitterness. Solid but a little unrefined Doppelbock. 281207

50 cL bottle, thanks to Myrup. Pours deep, yet clear/visible, amber with a diminished off-white head. Mild dried fruity, wineous and heavy barley notes. Flavour is heavy malty, slight roasted and with a distinct alcohol warmth. Finish is a lingering malt and light alcohol flavour.
