Dark brown with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma with licorice and spice. Sweetish flavour with dried fruit and spice, endning in a roasty, slightly ashy finish. Full body and perfumed spice making the beer a tiny bit cloying

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011, 2006 vintage. Muddy chocolate brown. Distincy oxidized cardboard aroma. Sweet and caramelly, medium bodied. Totally dead, dusty and oxidized. Why does a brewer serve a beer that is destroyed?

Bottle. It pours a really dark brown body, almost black, topped by a small, tan head. Roasted nose with some coffee, a bit one-dimensional but very mellow. Chocolate, coffee and coffee-like bitterness in the mouth, leading to a finish with chocolate and some coffee. Dry and smooth in the mouth. A pleasant beer, but it’s not the one to go crazy over, it’s just pleasant. (090213)
