Bottled. Clear, reddish brown with hints of a beige head. Lightly roasted aroma with some peat and sweetness. Sweet flavor, with roasted malt and peat-notes. Medium body and a quite sweet finish with some roasted notes and peat. It tastes better once you get used to the taste. (061222)

A hazy dark red beer with a thin brown head, that disappears very fast, neather the clarity nor the poor head looks like a Weizen Bock. The aroma is sweet and very fruity, but also with notes of alcohol and hints of spices. The flavor is very sweet, but also very complex, with notes of sirup, over ripe fruits, nuts, berries, and hints of spices, as well as a note of alcohol, that hits quite late on the palate. More like a Doppelbock than a Weizen Bock

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy mahogany with a small, bubbly, dissipating off-white head. Rich aroma of sweetish, dried fruit. Very full body with very sweet, malty accents - roasted malt and caramel and perhaps a wee whiff of yeast. Very discreet bitterness. Very delicate. 111006

Handpumped. Cloudy, very dark brown colour. The flavour has a good citricity and a bit of cardboard. Good maltiness. Dusty finish and OK mouthfeel. I expected a bit more, could be more flavourful.

[Cask at Købehavnske Øldage] Cloudy dark brown. Evident banana and estery band-aid aroma. Sweet and rather potent. Lightly roasty with firm mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Provides what I expect from a weizenbock.

Bottle. No head at all. Dark black and thick. Aroma is spicy. Taste is like liquid concentrated licorice. I like it but dont make the same mistake as I did and serve it with a meal. Its a dessert in itself and doesnt go with meats. Absolutely no carbonation.
