30th Oct 2017. Cask pint in Montgomery's Tower, a Wetherspoon pub in Shrewsbury. Really enjoyed this. Red hue to the amber body, smooth off-white blanket of foam on top. Malty with some berry/hedgerow fruits in the mix. Decent bitter finish, decent Bitter all round.

Cask @ JDW Elgin
Copper bronze...clear..creamy white head
Aroma - soft fruity malts...little on the nose
Taste - light bitter hops..bit of fruity malt when it hits the tongue...that’s it...watery...bland for the abv
Palate - thin watery body...soft carb. Finish...light berry fruit and a bit of biscuit...quite dull
Overall - Bland economy brewing.....a waste of money

Cask at The Granite City, Aberdeen. Clear copper pour with a fine, white foam head. Toasty, bready malt aroma. Nicely balanced flavor, lightly sweet, bready malts, some light fruits, soft leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Sweet, faintly dry finish, some toffee, fruits, doughy toast, some berries. I really like it. A very easygoing bitter.
