Cask-conditioned at the brewery tap, the Lamb, Frome 6/12/08. Copper coloured with a lacy white head. Fruity malt aroma with some nuttiness. Sweetish caramel flavour, with some earthy hops and a hint of roasted malt in the bitter finish. Good.

Cask gravity at Ashford Rugby Club BF 2008. Amber/red, thin beige head. Yeasty malt fruit, some hop on finish. Bit syrupy on the malts. Definitely syrupy, some hop on finish, not my favourite.

(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London, 30 July) Colour is mahogany with a foamy, short head. Nose is malty and nutty, not very complicated. Taste is also malty and nutty with some dry hoppy character in the finish. On the thin side, smooth and ... well .. not very exciting, but definitely drinkable.
