Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.Clear medium brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, creamy caramel, chocolate, notes of peat. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508)

Cask-conditioned at the Raven, Bath 18/5/08. Near black with a slight white head. Aroma had the standard Arbor nose of roast malt, with some dark fruit and bitter chocolate. Flavour was roasty in the main, with a savoury edge and a bitter finish. A good modern version of a mild.

[cask at Reading beer festival] Rich smokey coffee notes, a beer to slowly savour as the aroma gradually fills your mouth and nose. Would have been my favourite beer at the festival were it not for the incredible Brewdog Edge!
