Maximón is a Mayan deity represented in various forms - also as a beer. A complex, moderately spicy, smooth and full-bodied Baltic Porter. There's a hint of fruity chili combined with sweet and rich chocolate notes.

Bottle from Beerdome. Sweet chocolate aroma with chili peppers, dark malt, fairly soft roast, touch of dark fruits. Flavour is rather sweet and moderate bitter with some nice chili burn. Body is full. Sweet chocolate with chili, nice burn, good stuff!

Very good, not great, this bottle anyway. Lovely balance of sweetness and a roasty modern bold robust stout. has some muddy chewy body that lacks cleanliness thou. Bierkonig ams

Draught@Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized creamy beige head. Aroma is nutty, some slight toast, a bit dried fruits along with some ashes. Flavour has rather similar elements, but also a sting of alcohol to it.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black with some light brown foam, very fine. Aroma is intense of chocolate and vanilla. Body is dense, with limited tickling carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet, with a light spicy/hot in the final, which is average.

Dark brown colour, the head reduces quickly. Nice aroma of chocolate, light spice, cinnamon. Full bodied, heavy chocolate and cocoa flavour, moderate sweetness, very well complemented by the mild spice (cinnamon, chilies), and a little heat.
Excellent.

Bottle. Dark brown. Aroma of chocolate, cinnamon and chile. Liking the thick, sweet chocolate character. I can buy that the chile has habanero fruitiness but certainly doesn't carry the heat of the Havana pepper. The alcohol is there, but not huge. No cinnamon on the palate - probably its presence on the nose was suggestion or illusion. Whatever. If you make this type of beer and I don't like, you should just stop brewing. So I think this is awesome.
