Cask at the Market Porter, Borough. Vague doughy floral aroma. Bright gold. Good thick bubbly head. Initially a very light bitterness, which peaks in intensity into the finish. Underlying maltyness. The lightness of the body is matched by its softness. Gets slicker. Astringent finish. Another bland bitter.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Slight haze. Nose - geraniums, a hint of lime. Light biscuit. Taste - light floral, but then caramel biscuit takes over. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy finish that could be fresher. Overall - it could be fresher, alright.

Clear yellow colour. Not much aroma to speak of but the flavour is deep, hoppy and complex.

Another bottle conditioned beer I managed to grab at a party on 7th June 2014: this bottle had a BBD of Jan 15. Light amber with a small white (ish) head. More malts in the nose than hops, same in the taste. I have struggled in the past with this breweries beers and this didn’t help their cause too greatly either. Not a lot going on really, some caramel notes for sweetness and hints of floral hops in the brew but it lacked oomph and a defining character to get into.

Cask at the Merchants Inn, Rugby, 12/03/14. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is toasted malt, straw, light citric fruit, bready waftings. Taste comprises bready tones, lemon rind, faint orange, hint of vanilla, toasty, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonationa, drying close. So so affair.
