RBESG 08. Cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of apples and oranges with some malt. Thin orange and apricot flavour with a dry, hoppy finish.

[Rate 1: 27/4/2009, RB score 5/3/6/2/12 (2.8)] Gravity cask at Chippenham Beer Festival 2009] Harsh grapefruit bitterness, some caramel. OK. [Rate 2: 24/11/2015, RB score 7/2/6/3/13 (3.1)] Cask at the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Floral up front followed by orange and lemon hops. Some caramel and vanilla-ey sliminess, but the hops just about win out in the end. Sweetish with some dryness in the finish. Score posted is the average of all rates.

Hazy amber color. Nice aroma, quite sweet and earthy. Slim body with some good caramel flavor with strong bitterness and light fruitness. Good.

Bottle. It pours a clear, golden-orange, quite pale body with a small, white head. Grapefruit-sourish nose, slightly artificial. Seems like it might be going bad. Grapefruit, generic fruityness, caramel and some bitterness in the mouth. Flavor feels a bit artificial too. Thin body, sourish and dry, almost papery mouthfeel. Grapefruit-sour and hoppy bitter finish. Strange one. Good? In a way. Bad? In a way. (080829)

Bottle. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma is hop, fruit, malt, grapefruit. Flavour is hop, malt, caramel. There were a wrong flavour in the beer for me that i can´t define.

Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. Hazy gold, lasting white head. Obvious citrus grapefruit hop aroma. It’s got a lot of citrus. Earthy hop. Very earthy beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a very cloudy golden with basically no head. Lightly citrusy hoppiness in the aroma. Light body, a little flat with light fruit and citrus notes. Ends lightly bitter - apparently everything about this beer seems light! 290608

Bottle (RBESG Pilsen): A bit barnyardy, mainly hoppy and slightly fruity nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied; shorter fruity-hoppy finish. Not bad, but a bit thin.........

Bottled at RBESG. Cloudy deep golden. Fruity minerally nose. Sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and doughy, some salty bitterness. Pleasant, but a bit unfocused.
